Lifetime prides themselves for their customer service while having zero. Signed up for swimming classes and day care for my special needs son. We did the swimming classes for two months on autopay. My son had to have a surgery done that didn’t allow him to swim anymore for some time. I was still charged after I asked to pause payments. I asked for a refund for the months I was charged. It’s coming up on a year now and I still haven’t gotten a single call back after speaking with dozens of different people every few weeks or so. There is so much turn over no one can stay on top of my request or be bothered to look into it. Additionally, very strange as a new customer with my child at the daycare I had to escalate to be able to see the rooms where classes were held. We actually weren’t able to see the classes at all. Very troubling as a parent leaving your special needs child with strangers. Another time at the day care I sat back to see how the care givers were, I noticed my son was upset about something and was yelled at “get away from me”. My son has behavioral issues and is hearing impaired so this was especially troubling. In conclusion, we couldn’t trust staff to leave our child there or get our money back.

It is a family-friendly place. The place is maintained clean and fresh all the time. The instructors for the classes are professional and well organized as well as for the kids center. The outdoor pool is fantastic more than expected.

I came here because I was the guest of Marriott Park Ridge hotel. They gave you the pass to use this gym during weekday. It’s a very impressive and lively place. Friendly staff and nice facilities. Two thumbs up!!

After years as a member, I will be cancelling my membership. Let me paint you the picture of the issues going on at this gym. For years the men’s shower pressure was very low and many members complained and management did nothing. Then the gym was doing some construction and the men’s and women’s locker room swapped with one another for a few days. When we started using the women’s locker room we noticed their water pressure was excellent and for years of complaining on the men’s side, they did nothing. Now that everyone knew, they increased the water pressure on the men’s side. Another issue is I just found out that they are increasing my membership dues by $20 again for the second time in the last 2 years from $179 to $200 by an email from manager Joseph Allard stating rate is still $20 lower than that for new members. How can you continue to increase rates when a lot of gym equipment keeps breaking down and you don’t fix it, Showers are always dirty, no staff wants to work there because of the way they are treated, as others have mentioned underage kids all over the place cursing and harassing members, people of color are looked down upon and treated differently by staff, personal trainers charge an arm and a leg for sessions and hardly help any of their client from what I’ve heard, on top of that I’ve seen personal trainers and clients laughing at members who aren’t using proper form to lift instead of correcting them because all they care about is the money they are getting paid, basketball courts are filled with teenagers who will run full court games and don’t let other members play on the court, they have made half of the weightlifting area with like 25 power cages for deadlifts/squats etc geared more towards younger kids and very little equipment and machines for older clients, dumbbell area only has 5 adjustable benches that are always taken, pool with bandaids floating around and kids for lifeguards, no cold water in the showers if you want to take a cold shower, enough is enough In all honesty, this gym has potential, but when management at the end is a business that cares more about increasing dues every few years to profit off the working class who work hard to come here and are treated like garbage, it’s time to find another gym. Many other members have had enough and are leaving when you start charging monthly dues close to $300 a month soon. I guess only the upper wealthy class will be able to afford this gym soon.

Rude and RACIST! Ive been a lifetime member for years. I was using the row machine today and one of the trainers, I think her name was Sasha, came up to me and said "MOVE, we have a class". I said "ok, but that's not the tone you should use to a member". I got up and she yells at me and says "Hey! That's not the proper way to put it back!". I said "excuse me? What is your issue? I'm leaving.". She said "Get off the equipment now or I'll call the manager". I was so confused. She did this in front of an ENTIRE class she was teaching at 10am December 6th. As I walked away, I heard her say to someone "stupid brown boy". I was livid, and had no idea what was happening so I did go and complain to a manager. (Very nice man. I wish I remembered his name) He took my number but I received no call. The amount of money I spend at this gym, I do not expect RACISM and mistreatment. I am an Emergency Medicine Physician. I take care of patients everyday of my life. On my worst days, I have never treated anyone like this. This woman yelled at me on an already tough day I was having, publicly berated me, then through racial epithets out loud. I will be going to corporate about this. Lifetime as a brand should not stand for this type of behavior. I need this to be addressed. If you are a person of Indian origin, please beware. Based on previous reviews, race has been an issue with this trainer in particular in the past. Maybe a class action or media coverage of this would wake them up. This is intolerable in the year 2023. I will be returning to the Florham Park and Westchester locations from now on.

Excellent staff, clean and top of the line facilities including pool, sauna, jacuzzi and of course the fitness center. I just wished there were more machines since the gym is always packed.

"As a loyal member paying a premium for this high-end gym, the recent inclusion of insurance-covered individuals, especially the elderly, raises some concerns. While promoting diversity is admirable, it's essential to strike a balance that respects the exclusive experience I'm investing in. Let's address this shift thoughtfully to ensure that both the financial commitment and the premium atmosphere are upheld for all members."
